As parents, caregivers and teachers, we all want what’s best for our children. But it can be hard to know how to talk to them about climate change and the future.

Climate anxiety in young people is rising, many are worried about what the climate crisis will mean for their future. As adults, we can play a key role – both in taking action ourselves – but also to help our children cope with the emotional impacts of a changing climate.

Eco Action Families is part of the “Our Kids Climate’ network who have provided this downloadable guide which provides recommendations for how you can become better at meeting young people’s questions, feelings and commitment to the climate.

Talk to children about the climate crisis – a guide for parents and other adults.

Eco Action Families has organised the funding for every secondary school in Brighton & Hove to have a licence for the inspiring environmental film ‘2040’

Damon Gameau takes us on an aspirational journey to discover what the future could look like if we simply embraced the best that exists today. This is the narrative the next generation needs to see, to aspire to, and to believe is possible! #2040

The schools’ licence comes with access to educational resources - A comprehensive package of units of work for upper primary and secondary. These free lesson plans are learning recipes for teachers that utilise short clips from the film to support classroom learning, providing step-by-step instructions, student workshops and engaging content.

Just One Tree day!

There are over 10 million children in full or part time education in the UK alone. Imagine what a powerful impact we would have if every nursery, school and college contributed to planting trees.

Eco Action Families has worked closely with Just One Tree for the last 2 years and October 13th, 2023 will be the 5th annual non-uniform day.
